Lets talk about Regions Bank.

Until recently we had been very happy customers with Regions Bank. The branch was literally in the parking lot of our shopping center. All the staff knew us. It was like a small town banking community.

Now lets fast forward for 4 years ago to recent times. Yeah I know Regions is a local bank. Smaller, but it gave it an intimacy that made it special.
The downward trend started when there was a problem with one of our cards. We wanted to dispute a charge - was charged twice for the same item by a merchant.
So with Regions you can't just dispute a charge, you have to cancel the card or account and start a new one.
Then lets step forward to replacing cards. It seems there was a HUGE problem with the way their system handles addresses. Apparently it can only handle a certain number of characters in an address. This resulted in the suite number being cut off. Took over a month to find the problem and receive our new cards.
They are closing branches like no tomorrow. It starts with the drive thru closing, then it moves to the actual branch. The one closest to our house met this fate, now the one in the parking lot is doing the same thing.
So we decided to switch banks to a larger nationally known bank. We go to close the Regions account. Nope - have to wait for any "possible" pending items to clear. Can you tell if there are any pending items we ask. Nope don't see any, but we have to leave it open for a week just encase. How freaking stupid!
It's no wonder they are closing branches. They don't have the customer base and are loosing accounts. They deserve to go out of business.
